In the real estate field for over eight years now doing property management, general contracting, and as a Realtor Ian is experienced in the many aspects of Real Estate transactions. In 2009, Ian moved to Bethesda, MD and has lived in Montgomery County ever since.
Before becoming a Realtor Ian was a legal administrator for over four years. He managed and directed all administrative areas including finance, accounting, human resources, operations, information technology, library and marketing. Ian was focused on maintaining the legal firm’s high level of customer service, translating the firm’s strategic initiatives into day-to-day operations, and ensuring that it is always a great place to work.
Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Ian was a manager of the Mid-Atlantic region call center for State Farm Insurance in Charlottesville, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science with an Honors degree in Biology from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada where he also led the schools orientation and mentoring program.
Ian is a member of many associations, has written articles, and spoke in multiple capacities. Ian is a member in the Greater Captial Area Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce, Habitats for Humanity, Concordia Alumni Association, Smith Business School MBA Association, Washington Area Bicycle Association (WABA), Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCCRC), etc.
A family man, having one son, Ian is involved in his community, home owners association and local politics. Ian volunteers as a member of Olde Towne Gaithersburg Economic Development Advisory Committee. He also just wrapped up a 2016 tax preparation season by helping low income individuals and families by preparing their taxes through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
